Nossa Ciranda (2017)

"Nossa Ciranda" is the debut solo album from Victor Mendes. This collaborative work with poet Paulo Nunes, who wrote most of the lyrics, features an acoustic-driven sound where the Viola Caipira (the 10-string guitar from Brazil’s countryside) and guitar play a central role in shaping its musical identity. The album blends elements of folk, rock, jazz, and more, creating a seamless fusion that transcends genre boundaries. Its unity lies in the rich diversity of the songs, rather than adhering to a single style. With contributions from notable guests like Ricardo Vignini and Karine Telles, the album won the ProAC award, which supported a national tour across Brazil.
Trio José - Puisia (2014)

The Trio José was formed in 2009 in São José dos Campos, a city in the interior of São Paulo. Initially consisting of Danilo Moura (vocals and guitar), Victor Mendes (vocals and viola), and Rodrigo Silva (cajón), the group has evolved over the years. Victor Mendes and Danilo Moura experimented with various instruments, honing a sound uniquely their own, deeply rooted in Brazilian countryside folk and popular music traditions. Their repertoire is a mix of original compositions and collaborations with poet Juca da Angélica. Presented through the timeless pairing of guitar and viola caipira, the music now incorporates the rhythmic energy of Marcos Godoi on drums and the deep grooves of Chico Martins on electric bass.
Concerto Sentido (2022)

Deo Lopes and Victor Mendes present Concerto Sentido, an album featuring unreleased compositions by Deo Lopes, an influential composer from Vale do Paraíba and a key figure in Brazilian popular music (MPB) and regional genres. These songs, originally composed by Deo in the 1980s, had long remained unrecorded until they were reinterpreted and brought to life through his collaboration with Victor Mendes. The project began after Deo joined Victor's 2017 tour for his solo album Nossa Ciranda. As their musical bond deepened, they began revisiting tracks from Deo's five LPs recorded in the '80s and '90s, gradually shaping new versions and weaving in fresh material. The result is Concerto Sentido, an album that blends the subtlety and strength of Deo Lopes' musical presence with the creative energy of their partnership.
